While a comprehensive academic publication on Sri Vikrama Rajasinha's imprisoned life is anticipated in the near future, the upcoming release of Granville's Diary serves as a significant first step toward that goal. William Granville, a British civil servant, was responsible for overseeing the king and his family during their voyage into exile from Colombo to Pulicat. Acting on the governor's instructions, Granville maintained a journal documenting key events of the journey.
