ශ්රී ලංකා ප්රජාතාන්ත්රික සමාජවාදී ජනරජයේ අග්රාමාත්ය රනිල් වික්රමසිංහ මහතා වෙත මගේ නව ග්රන්ථයන් හි පිටපත් පිළිගැන්වීමි.
ඊට එක් විශේෂ හේතුවක් තිබේ.
දළඳා මාළිගාව ඉලක්ක කරමින් 1998 ජනවාරි 25 වැනිදා එල්ල කළ කොටි බෝම්බ ප්රහාරයෙන් අනතුරුව එම ස්ථානයට මුලින් ම පැමිණි එවක විපක්ෂ නායක රනිල් වික්රමසිංහ මහතා, කොටි සංවිධානයේ එම පහත් ක්රියාව හෙළාදකිමින් පළමු මාධ්ය නිවේදනය ද නිකුත් කළේ ය. 1998 ස්වර්ණ ජයන්ති නිදහස් උළෙල මහනුවර මහමළුවේ පැවැත්වීමට මුල සිට ම විරුද්ධ වූ ඔහු බෝම්බ ප්රහාරයෙන් පසුව, ඊට වගකිව යුතු පාර්ශ්ව වෙත සෘජුව ම පහරදුන්නේ ය. දියවඩන නිලමේ නෙරංජන් විජයරත්න සහ එවක විපක්ෂ නායකවරයා අතර තිබූ කිට්ටු සම්බන්ධතාව නිසා, කළ පළිගැනීමක් ලෙස දළඳා මාළිගාව නැවත ගොඩනැගීම සඳහා කිසිදු මූල්ය අනුග්රහයක් එවක චන්ද්රිකා මැතිණියගේ රජයෙන් ලැබුණේ නැත. 2002 දී එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂ රජය පත්වී දෙවැනි වරට අගමැති බවට පත් වූ රනිල් වික්රමසිංහ මහතා කැබිනට් පත්රිකාවක් මගින් මුදල් වෙන්කොට, සිය රජයේ පළමු කාර්යය වශයෙන් දළඳා මාලිගාව ප්රතිසංස්කරණය සඳහා මාළිගාවේ අරමුදල්වලින් යෙදවූ වියදම් ප්රතිපූරණය කළේ ය. පල්ලේකැලේ ශ්රී ලංකා ජාත්යන්තර බෞද්ධ පීඨය ඉදිකිරීම සඳහා දියවඩන නිලමේ නෙරංජන් විජයරත්න මහතා විසින් යොදවන ලද්දේ එසේ, රනිල් වික්රමසිංහ අග්රාමාත්යවරයා විසින් ප්රතිපූරණය කළ අරමුදල් ය.
එපමණක් නොව, දළඳා මාළිගාවට බෝම්බ ප්රහාරය එල්ල කිරීමේ මෙහෙයුමේ මුදුන් පුරුකක් වූ කරුණා අම්මාන් හෙවත් විනයාගමූර්ති මුරලිතරන්, එල්ටීටීඊ සංවිධානයෙන් කඩා දැමුවේ ද ඔහු ය!

It is a great pleasure to meet and present my new books to Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Hon Ranil Wickremesinghe today.
He was the Opposition leader of the parliament when the 'Maligawa bomb incident' was happened. Just after the attack, he was contacted Diyawadana Nilame and came to the place in the evening to observe the damages. Further he was the first person who issued a statement of condemning the attack. HE president Chandrika Bandaranayake's Government did not support by finance to rebuild Maligawa and the entire project of conservation was done by the aids, given by different organizations and personales to 'Dalada Maligawa reconstruction fund'. In 2002, with the government change, PM Ranil Wickremesinghe passed a cabinet paper to reimburse all expenditures spent by 'Maligawa fund', by the government. Former Diyawadana Nilame Neranjan Wijeyerathne used that funds to build Sri Lanka Buddist Academy (SIBA) of Pallekele.
That is not all! He is the person who played a significant role behind seperating Karuna Amman alias Vinayagamurthi Muralitharan (mastermind behind the attack of Maligawa) from LTTE.
